- Scope and ContentWilliam Green, one of the rural police constables – on Saturday 29 April he was near Bletsoe village and saw the 3 defendants leave the village. He saw them go into a field occupied by Mr Beauford where there was a quantity of wood roots. He saw them each take away an apron full. He met them and took away the wood. The quantity taken by each of the women was worth 3d. Judith Harper, Mary Woods and Ann King – nothing to say.
