to wife Judith for life while unmarried, messuages and lands in Girtford, Sandy, Everton, Tempsford in occupation Thomas Atkins alias Wright, called Clark’s farm, purchased of Mr Bromsall or his trustees (Lee and Pecke); also cottage in occupation widow Thomas; then to sons Richard and Samuel; also to son Richard close of meadow, 2 acres, called Mill Mead alias the Shadwells; also to son Samuel copyhold cottage in Girtford in occupation William Collop and William Freeman, and 6 acres arable and meadow, or so much as was purchased with cottage (now in occupation testator); and £40 to be put out at interest till 21; to son John copyhold messuage and homestall in Girtford in own occupation, and 8 acres in the fields of Sandy and Girtford enjoyed with said messuage and in own occupation; and 1 acre purchased by itself, lying in Sandy Field; ½ acre purchased of “Allen or my father”; Long close, Girtford, 2½ acres; the Swan Inn, Girtford, with close; reversion of widow Thomas’ cottage; also to wife “the living in the parlour and chamber over it at the W. end of ” house; “liberty of the yard pump and other necessaries to the same”; to sons John and Richard £25 each bequeathed by testator’s father and in his hands; (refers to eldest son Francis) executors; wife and son John; Witnesses: Edward Rolt, John Parker, Richard Lee
