- Scope and Content1. Richard Paratt, father of Richard Paratt, “took to mortgage” of Robert Bromsall of Sandy 3 November 1633 certain lands in Sandy (PM71); 2. He assigned this to his son on latter’s marriage with the daughter of John Atkinson of Potton “by word”; (witnesses: Mrs Anne Britten, Abraham Paratt, Alexander Atkinson); and during father’s life the rent was paid to son; 3. The land is part of some which Robert Bromsall sold to Richard Paratt senior, and which the latter in 1653 settled on his son; Award:- 1. Richard Paratt of Potton shall have the lease of 1000 years for residue of term; 2. The suit brought by David Smyth as lessee of Mary Paratt shall be dropped, and they are to hand over the lease before 1 January, with any other documents; Witnesses: John Searle, Thomas Feery, Ann Feery
