    Reciting Conveyance of 8 January 1872 i) Samuel Bailey, Southill, gentleman, Thomas Heaton, Alton, near Cheadle, Staffs, gentleman ii) Edward William Young, formerly of Bedford, now of Sydney, Cape Breton, British North America,civil engineer iii) John Trapp, Bedford, gentleman reciting mortage of 16 February 1860 between Henry Young and Sophia Brightman to secure repayment of £1,050 lent to H Young by S Brightman Default was made in said repayment Sophia Brightman died on 17 January 1863. Will proved (PPR) on 6 February 1863 reciting also deed of 30 June 1863 by which in consideration of £1050 paid by Samuel Bailey and Thomas Heaton, at request of Henry Young, property was transferred to their use subject to proviso for repayment [see X 208/18] reciting also: Conveyance of 13 June 1864 [see X 208/11] a)Samuel Bailey, Thomas Heaton b) Henry Young c) Thomas Wesley Turnley consideration - £270 (part of said £1050) paid by c) to a) at request of b) - said property was conveyed to c) reciting also: Will of Henry Young of 29 June 1864 Son, Edward William Young, daughter Rosina Harriet Young and son Augustus Murray Young, appointed executors and trustees. All real and personal estate bequeathed to them in trust for sale He died on 12 March 1866. Will, with a codicil, proved (Northampton) on 7 April 1866 reciting also: Deed of 3 October 1866 by which Rosina Harriet Latham, wife of John Herbert Latham, M A, of Kurnwood in the Deccan in the presidency of Madras, civil engineer, renounced all trusts and powers etc in said will reciting that A M Young died on 17 February 1871. Now in consideration of £1060 paid by iii) (i.e. £780 to i) and £280 residue to ii)) i) and ii) released to iii) - dwelling house known as 16, The Crescent, then in occupation of Francis Pearson reciting also: Will of Charles Verey, dated 5 December 1879, by which he appointed his wife, Jane Mary Verey, sole executrix and bequeathed to her all his real and personal estate reciting also: Conveyance of 1 May 1882 1) John Trapp, Surbiton, Surrey, gentleman 2) Charles Verey, Bedford, gentleman consideration - _1500 paid to 1) by 2) 1) conveyed to 2) - dwellinghouse, formerly 16, but now 8, The Crescent, Bedford, with stable, coachhouse, greenhouse, gardens etc Charles Verey died on 20 September 1898. Will proved (PPR) on 21 October 1898 With plan attached being a copy of the plan on conveyance of 8 January 1872 showing the layout of the property with Mr Smyth living on one side [no 6], Captain Verey on the other [no 10] and a garden extending back in an L shape to meet land of J W Turnley, Esq. 1925
