    whereas: lease of 6 January 1727 between 1) John Freshwater the Elder, carpenter and ii) above, and John Freshwater the Younger of Great Barford 2) Francis Foskett of Potton, labourer i) in consideration of £20 did grant, bargain, sell to ii) ...all that cottage wherein 1) dwelt 1 lands and 2 houses (1½ acres) Northfield next Birchfield ...and lands in Black Croft (3 roods) ...and 3 lands in Little Field in Thundwell (1 acre 2 roods) ...and 1 land in house next Roxton (1½ roods) ...3 lands in Laugh Field called Gamalins (1 acre) ...1 land going in Stockings (2 roods) all of which in Great Barford then in occupation of Frances Willows, widow To hold for 500 years at yearly rent of a peppercorn. Proviso that payment of £20 plus interest whereas: premises above-mentioned conveyed to Thomas Warren for residue of 500 years for payment of £40 plus interest proviso in indenture 15 November 1729 between 2) and 1) and Thomas Warren that if £40 not paid, then for residue the above mentioned premise to i) whereas: i) desirous of money paid. and ii) being unable to pay, i) has requested iii) to pay £40 and take assignment of premises. This indenture witnesseth: in consideration of £40 paid by iii) to i) by direction of ii), and in consideration of 5s paid by iii) to ii). ii) and i) satisfied bargain and sell to iii) all property above mentioned. Proviso, if ii) pay £40 plus interest on 10 April 1743 then iii) will convey lands to ii).
