Will of William Hodgson Brown, Captain and Adjutant in the Bedfordshire Militia and Lieutenant on half pay wife Frances, father William Brown of Reading Berkshire, and John Sloper, esquire, Kempston appointed executors to wife (inter alia) freehold messuage in St John’s, Bedford, with leasehold ground etc. to keep or dispose of as executors think best. in case of decease of wife Frances, then to daughter Madeline Elizabeth Brown and other children he might have, equally will dated 22 May 1826 proved (Prerogative Court of Canterbury) 7 Jun 1827 William Hodgson Brown died in August 1826 Frances Brown died in June 1826 Madeline Elizabeth Brown (only surviving child) died about 1842 William Brown, father, died? leaving Frederick Brown, only surviving son of father, the said William Brown
