Messrs Finch & Lush the proprietors of Fisherton House Lunatic Asylum have applied for re-payment of a sum of £1.2.0 paid by them for clothing and railway fare for Frederick Ireland, a lunatic sent from this prison, on his discharge from the Asylum as cured under an order of the Secretary of State. The Visiting Justices promised to bring the subject before the Court of Quarter Sessions and recommend that such an order be made. The Visiting Justices recommended that a Prisoners Aid Society be formed for the purpose of assisting prisoners on their discharge and enabling them to find employment.
