Charity Commission Orders approving and establishing a Scheme (and constituting a Committee of Management for the administration of the charity and vesting of its lands (and endowments), as scheduled below*, in the Official Trustee of Charity Lands in trust for the Charity) for the regulation of the Ely and St Albans Diocesan Deaconess Home & Orphanage Charity (sealed 5 August 1927; stamped as received by the Charity Commission, 4 April 1946); a Scheme for administration of the 'Eagles for St Albans DDH & O' Charity (ex Charity of Fanny Elizabeth Eagles, founded by will proved in the Principal Registry on 25 May 1907 and comprised in a scheme of the Charity Commissioners of 22 October 1918 for St Albans DDH & O) and its endowments scheduled by the Committee of Management of the St Albans DDH & O Charity, regulated by a scheme of 5 August 1927, as Trustees of the Charity (sealed 2 March 1928 and received as above); and Scheme varying the clauses in the above Principal Scheme (sealed 15 September 1950). Schedule of land* to be used as a Deaconess Home and Orphanage for the Diocese (a) messuage and land, garden and hereditaments and premises known as 9 Bromham Road in the parish of St Paul's, Bedford. (b) land with the messuage erected thereon known as The Elms situate in and being No 11 Bromham Road, formerly Conduit Street in the same parish. Schedule also contains £300 5 p.c.
