    Sixteen lads under 16 years of age have been committed, 4 ten years of age, 2 twelve years, 2 thirteen years and five between 15 and 16 years of age. Maria Endersby whose imprionment (6 months) expired on 15th of October last and when about to be discharged from prison was detected having concealed about her person sundry articles the property of the prison, she was prosecuted at the last Sessions and convicted, sentenced to 12 months imprisonment. John Simpson and Charles Wormsley under sentence of penal servitude have been removed to Millbank. Three boys, Samuel Head, Alfred Eames and Joseph Brandon have been removed to Beds Reformatory. William Boyd, a Middlesex prisoner under sentence of 12 calendar months for bigamy was discharged on the 28th day of November last by order of the Secretary of State, having been pardoned. Two case of assaults upon the officers and insubordination have occurred during the past Quarter which I felt it my duty to bring under the special notice of the Committee, both the offenders were Middlesex prisoners.
