Sarah Darwood, whose term of imprionment expires tomorrow, has conducted herself extremely well during the term of eight months, remains here for some little time as private servant to the Matron - as she has behaved satisfactorily it would be well when she leaves prison for teh Visiting Justices to give her a letter stating the above points, as such letter might be useful in obtaining a situation for her. 16 September: George Peter Livius, Thomas Abbott Green. 26 ptrisoners in custody. Two prisoners, Thomas Adams and Henry Gregory have been kept in close confinement for a limited time for misbehaviour - they were called in and admonished. A debtor by name of [James]Woodcroft applies for the gaol allowance of food as he is unable to provide for himself. Allowed - but no provisions fto be allowed from his friends during the period.
