- Scope and ContentBenjamin Billington: a grocer of Union Street, Dunstable. On 9 May a piece of coarse wrapper was stolen from his yard. On 2 June he saw the wrapper in the possession of PC Cuttriss. He knew it by a piece of string attached to it. PC Jeremiah Cuttriss: on 2 June he searched the prisoner’s house and found the wrapper in the bedroom. Statement of the accused: his wife had the piece of wrapper before they married and he had been married for going on 6 years.
