- Scope and ContentGeorge Peter Livius. The prisoner George Elkerton died last night 1/4 past 12 o clock - at times sensible and at ther times insensible varying every day. He was committed on the 7th January the first time - 17 years of age - he complained of illness on the 21st February and removed to the Infirmary on the 23rd. The first attack was of the nature of influenza and ended in typhus fever. When he entered the Gaol he said he was forced to do something for a living, theres no work, no food, no money - he said they did it to get something to eat. [stole lead from a church]. One of the debtors William Perry is unable to provide fro himself with provisions, He has been in Gaol since September. The same diet is ordered for his as for the other prisoners. There are 54 prisoners.
