There has been one committal this morning, of a boy 12 years of age [William Lilley, 11 years old in Gaol register] and he is placed in a cell and yard separate from the other prisoners. 8 August: George P Livius, C G Payne. Liberated on bail with sufficient sureties Mary Campin, committed on a charge of stealing property of her late master at Puddington [Podington] The Visiting Justices have felt themselves called upon to accept bail, from the advice of teh surgeon, who is of the opinion that the bodily health and mind of the prisoner is likely to be so deranged as not to be able tomeet the charge if she conntinues in gaol.
