    A communication received from Theed Pearce, Clerk of the Peace stating that owing to his state of health, Mr Theed Pearce (his son) had been appointed his deputy and that he was utterly unable to express his feeling on the occasion. The Court hereby requested their Chairman to be their representative in acknowledging the communication in whatever manner appeared best to convey to the Clerk of the Peace their deep upset at the communication and their high appreciation of his invaluable services, his exemplary conduct and his well minted reputation.
