reciting will of Blandina Marshe
John Dickinson, Philip Aynscombe, Henshaw Halsey, Thomas Aynscombe, James Cart and Charles Bailiff also died before Blandina Marshe
i) was ordered by Court to erect Charity houses and to convey them to himself and to 4 other trustees and to secure a rent charge of £80 3s out of the estate - being amount of yearly sums payable to said 6 maiden gentlewomen
i) has erected said houses at his own expense
now to settle said Charity houses upon trusts of the will
i) releases to ii)
- 6 newly erected messuages in East Street, Dunstable, in front part of Great Close adj to Colts Acre, etc
-well dug for use of said houses
- way leading from said messuages to said well now fenced off from pightle at west side of said messuages on trusts as in will of Blandina Marshe
-annuity or yearly rent charge of £80 3s issuing out of:
--- capital messuage or farmhouse once in occupance Ann Wells, widow, then John Waters, then Mary Waters, widow
---Barn Close, Butchers Close, Cooks Great Ground, Cooks Lower Ground, Cooks Little Ground, Farm Close, Home Close, Gravel Pit, Robins Ground, further full mead, Middle full field or Mead, Lower full Mead, Woodcocks Corner, Claypitts next the Lane and the other Claypitts, the Home Pightle and orchard and Dearman's Close on West side of Herne Lane in Toddington, now in occupance of Jacob Shaw at yearly rent of £95
--- Great Meadow, Little Meadow, the two Lane, the Brickhill Yard or the hither throughfare and the further throughfare, in Hockliffe abutting on common fields of Tilsworth on the south
in occupance John Ludlam at yearly rent of £26 to be paid quarterly
ii) to have power to choose new inhabitants of the almshouses in choosing new trustees preference shall be given to relatives of Blandina Marshe paying land tax of £50 per annum. Trustees must be members of the Church of England
various provisions as to the conduct of the inmates of the almshouses.
When trustees reduced to 2, then power to appoint new trustees
i) or any other trustees may exonerate premises from payment of above £80 3s, provided such amount is charged on other property of the Charity of equal or greater value
