- Scope and Contentto wife Ann the household goods which she had brought with her, if not already given to her son Richard Pedder; a new chest of drawers and six new leather chairs in the room over the hall, and five pieces of linen cloth lately made; £100 his messuage and lands in Westoning in occupation of his brother in law John Crawley to be sold by his executors, the £100 to his wife being in lieu of her right of dower in the premises. Residue of money arising from sale of estate after mortgage has been repaid to brother in law John Crawley and his wife Mary, testator’s sister, to their children Mary Ann and Jane, and to Matthew Woodward, in equal parts; to John Crawley remainder of term in leasehold property in Westoning held of Sir William Farmer; to poor of Westoning 20/- to “son in law” [step son] Richard Pedder and wife Abigail 10/- each for mourning rings made Witnesses: Richard Pedder, George Barton, Joseph Robinson, Humphrey Tayler.
