T[homas] Hankin paid £220 as his part of £900 purchase money, & had for his share Church close, 3 acres; 2 acres meadow & 53 acres arable. George Whiskin paid £220 and had for his share Home Close, 3 acres, 1 1/2 acres meadow, & 52 3/4 acres arable, being the subject of this settlement; details as follows: - -Home Close, pasture, 3 acres, abutting east on Wren Park, west on Short Lane, south on Mr. Lee's willows, north on lands of heirs of Sir Thomas Bromsall; - 1 1/2 acres meadow next Gamglingay way, abutting east on meadow haden, west on the common brook, north Mr Halfhyde, south Mr Atkinson; - 52 3/4 acres in the common fields: - in Windmill Field: in Oakstubbs furlong; in Short ballance furlong; Long balance furlong; abutting against Short haden; abutting on Windmill haden; abutting north on Hatley Way; lying against Hard's hedge; on the hillside; south of Long Haden; abutting east on Windmill haden; abutting north on Hatley way; No-man's bush headland; in Butler's Willows Field: abutting north on Burnbush haden; abutting north on London way; abutting east on Gamglingay way; "the homeward side the way leading from Windmill haden to Potton wood"; abutting on Post pond; abutting on Church slade; in Mud furlong; in Waterland; [other lands listed in Spellow Field and Field near Sutton] Additional owners or occupiers mentioned - Richard Thorne, Widow Wallis, Widow Hodge, Mr Bromsall, - Geery, Mr George Rudgely, Mr Cloake, Mr Langhorne, Mr. Smyth.
