    Returns KK866. Thinks the proposed road repairs too expensive and unnecessary. Wroth, vicar of Billington, lives at Edlesborough, where he had been surveyor of the highways, but was dismissed as too expensive and oppressive. 23 December 1821. Enclosed: Letter from James Monk of Billington to Wood. ----- Has paid £120 in last 2 years as his share in highway maintenance. Wroth proposes to lower a hill, which will cost “a mort of Muney”. Asks Wood to forward his case to Mr Leigh and to take “the bad times and ard case” into consideration. 18 December 1821.
