    To be buried near wife Mary at Paul's Cray, Kent; to wife Elizabeth while unmarried, annuity of £12 from messuage at Potton occupied by John Pedley; also £20; trunk & box she had before marriage; household goods in their bedroom, except the wainscot press: 3 pairs sheets (not the best); 6 silver teaspoons; silver tea-tongs; silver strainer; 6 china cups & saucers; china teapot & stand (she to choose); to 2 sons William & John, messuage & land at Potton; to 4 brothers (Peter, John, Richard, Anthony) & to nephew Thomas (son of late brother Thomas) & nephew Thomas Wells (son of sister Margaret), 1 guinea each for rings. witnesses Edward Griffiths, Thomas Ebbutt, William Mason. Codicil:- to wife Elizabeth also scalloped mahogany tea table & tea-board; tea-kettle, lamp & stand, tea-chest, 3 canisters, silver cream pot, china sugar basin & slop basin; dressing-glass with 3 drawers in best room; 2 odd flowered china plates; mahogany scalloped waiter.
