- Scope and ContentTo grandson, John Edmunds of Eaton, cottage in Wyboston occupied by William Wildborne with all land and appurtenances belonging to same, "he delivering up a bond to my grandson Thomas Topham of £30 which I gave to him to be paid by my executors after my decease and also paying Mr Bassett, minister of Eaton, £50 which I borrowed upon mortgage on the same and in order to enable him to pay the £50 I give him full power to renew or alter the mortgage up to £50" After death of John Edmunds above to Mary Edmunds, testator's granddaughter, for life and after her decease to Topham, son of John and Mary Edmunds, and his heirs. If no such heirs to Silvester, son of John Edmunds, but if John Edmunds refuse to deliver said bond then premises to Thomas Topham, testators grandson. to grandchildren, Elizabeth Linsey, Mary Edmonds, John Topham, Elizabeth Topham and Judith Topham, 5/- each and a swarm of bees each on reaching 21. All residue to grandson Thomas Topham, except land mentioned in jointure of testator's late sons, John Topham's second wife. Whereas 1 1/2 acres of land mentioned in testators son's first wife's jointure was by mistake put into his second wife's jointure, if grandson, Thomas, disturbs his mother in law, Judith Topham, widow or her heirs in possession of said 1 1/2 acres then gives to Judith Topham in lieu 1acre called Whitbread Acre abutting agaianst the brook and 7 roods on furlong above it abutting on highway.
