    BEDFORD: parts of a skull and a quantity of bones found 2’6” below the surface of the rear courtyard of The King’s Arms, St.Mary’s Street; the pathologist considered them to be over a hundred years old; the Archaeological Department of Bedfordshire County Council were of the opinion that the bones were not in a previous burial ground.
