Sir Roger Hudson, knight, formerly Roger Hudson, esq., Edmund Halsey, esq., John Lade, esq., Gabriel Roberts esq., Sir Richard Hopkins, knight, formerly Richard Hopkins, esq. - trustees nominated by Act of Parliament entitled "an Act for raising Money upon the Estates of the late Sub Governor, Deputy Governor, directors, cashier, deputy cashier and accountant of the Southsea Company and of John Aislabie esq and likewise of James Gagge Senior esq., deceased towards making good the Great Loss and Damage sustained by the said Company and for dissabling such of the said Persons as are living To hold any Office or Place of Trust under the Crown or to Sitt or Vote in parliament for the future and for other Purposes in the said Act expressed" for putting in Execution the severall Powers and Authorities to any Three or more of them the sd. Trustees............... relating to the Estates of the late Sub Governor etc of the said Company in the said Act ii) John Whetham of Wyboston, Eaton Socon, esq. recites: messuages, lands and estates late of William Astell esq., one of the late directors of Southsea Co., to be sold under above Act NOW: Consideration: £1000 - property as in LK58 to ii), subject to lease by Thomas Willington, (of whom William Astell purchased said premises ) to Joseph Mayes of part of above property for 15 year term, commencing 1713, at £30 per annum; and lease by Thomas Willington to Thomas Kapper [sic] of part of premises for 15 year term, commencing 1713, at £6 per annum.
