BEDFORD: two incomplete human skeletons discovered on 20 September 1967 and a further skeleton discovered on 21 September 1967 during excavation for a cellar bar for Silver Grill Tavern at 30 High Street, Bedford; animal bones and teeth also found; one of the first two skeletons estimated to be a male of Saxon date or earlier; the third skeleton considered to be of an earlier date than the first two.
