    BLETSOE: human bones (part of a skull, jaw bone with teeth, atlas and axis vertebrae, head of a humerus and pieces of long bone) discovered on 23 October 1966 in ground to the rear of The Old Rectory, Bletsoe; pottery also found; investigation at County Record Office revealed Roman remains had been found on the same spot in 1936 [see Co/Inq3/2/8 and Co/Inq3/2/17 also].
