Said Thomas Farmborough, senior, & J. Thorp of Cloth Fair, London, chandler. 4. Thomas Farmborough, junior, of London, Chirurgeon, J. Withers, citizen & fishmonger of London. Marriage intended between 1 & 2. Messuage in Oldstreet, St. Giles without Cripplegate, Middlesex & several other messuages. The property is entailed, & subject to the raising of £400 to be disposed as 2 may direct by will. 11 Oct. 1689 Resettlement 1. Peter Briggins. 2. Thomas Farmborough, Sen., Thomas Farmborough jun., J. Hall, sen., citizen of London. Recites that Peter & Marabella Briggins sold premises in Hogsdon for £280 to J. Waters, premises in Old Street for £427 to Jos. Townshend. Peter Briggins purchased the Kings Head Inn, Southwark, for £1050, & settled it to the above uses of the marriage settlement, together with messuages in Bartholornew Close which he had purchased for £600 of Thomas Farmborough, senior. 18 July 1702 Marriage Settlement: £1600 1. Joseph Barber, senior, of Ampthill, grocer, & wife Mary. 2. Joseph Barber, junior, of Ampthill, draper. 3 Edward Burford of London, siderman, & Richard How of London Linen draper, & Mercy Briggins of London, spinster, daughter of Peter Briggins Marriage intended between Jos.
