- Scope and ContentWilliam Parrott of Potton – he has employed Lenton for some years as a labourer in husbandry, and lately Lenton had been threshing in his barn. He had suspected for some time that Lenton was robbing him. About 5.45pm last night he went into the barn where Lenton was threshing peas and saw his jacket hanging up. He found 2 bags of peas in the pockets. He charged Lenton with theft which he acknowledged and said he was very sorry for it. He is usually away from home on Thursdays but returned list night early than usual.
