    John informs us you had a very uncomfortable voyage [to Margate], an apprehensive it may have been more prejudicial to you both than the sea bathing afterwards salutary .... Perhaps your fondness for Marine excursions is abated. Orange, currant & Lisbon raisin wine return’d safely ... also pamphlets .... books ... Little William tells me there are plenty of quinces about Rochester. If a few could be procured & made into marmalade for me by my daughter the charge will be thankfully repaid.
