  • Scope and Content
Mr. Wells, an attorney, came to Aspley a few days ago. Richard How I told Troup that Richard How II wanted the money lent to J. Walduck, that Wells would advance it, but needed the mortgage deeds in Richard How II’s possession. Troup would not let them into the study, but let them see the library. Wells has paid off the mortgage by taking a lease of the house for life & 2 years at rent of £30 & fine of £200. Richard How I intends to go & live where Mrs. Little John now is. Would Richard How II like his books moved there, or in the room over the great parlour where Troup now lives?
