- industrial action by teachers in Voluntary Aided schools; - statistics on numbers of teachers involved and number of working days lost on a week-by-week basis; - pay deductions from striking teachers; - lists of schools where teachers took strike action; - complaints by parents; - complaints by headteachers about difficulties in a number of areas such as lunchtime supervision and exam invigilation due to strike; - National Association of Schoolmasters / Union of Women Teachers (NAS/UWT) ban on covering for the first day of a teacher’s absence through sickness etc.; - Local Education Authority (LEA) criticism of approach of headteacher of Linmear Middle School, Houghton Regis in blaming LEA for staff shortages during strike.
