Deed for securing the payment of legacies, £1893 (Lease and Release): (i) John Pery of London, esquire (ii) William Pery of Thorpe, Surrey, esquire. Fee farm rents as in BS 858-859. Reciting will of Richard Pery late of London, merchant, dated 26 January 1684, bequeathing the residue of his estate to be divided equally among the children of his brother William Pery (party to these presents) except his niece Mrs Margaret Buckley. Executors: John Pery and William Pery. Whereas the said John Pery has now in his hands the sum of £1893 the said trust estate. Mentions Ann, wife of John Pery, Katherine Ashenhurst, now wife of [–] Carter, esquire. William Pery indemnifies John Pery from any claim on him for a further sum of £775 from Richard Pery's estate now in his hands. Witnesses: Edward Buckley, G Stanlake, John Branson
