    Thomas Sanders of Luton, bricklayer – on 12 June between 7 and 8am Campbell came to a building where he was in Luton and asked him to buy a hammer from him for 1s. On Thursday 13 June George Hodge came and owned the hammer. George Hodge of Luton, bricklayer – on Wednesday 12 June he lost a hammer from a building he was at work at in Luton. The hammer produced by Supt Ashton is his. It has 3 notches on the handle. Henry Campbell – he borrowed the hammer from Hodges and unfortunately he sold it yesterday morning to Thomas Sanders.
