- Scope and ContentDetails given: Recites: (A) Will of Richard Smith (father of Mary and Richard) of Woburn, draper, 26 October 1720: devises freehold and copyhold lands in Woburn, Husborne Crawley, Loughton and Fenny Stratford to eldest son Roger, charged with legacies to sons Richard and John and daughter Elizabeth of £500 each. (B) Will of Roger Smith, 26 August 1726: devises to William Parker of Eversholt, gentleman, and James Smith of Sharpenhoe, gentleman, who both predeceased him, freehold and copyhold lands in Woburn, Harlington, Maulden, Loughton and Fenny Stratford, to be sold for mother Ann, brothers Richard and John, and three sisters; but as a result of trustees' decease the lands came to his eldest brother Richard.
