Luton Borough Highway Plans
These plans were mostly produced by the Borough Surveyor and were probably transferred to th County Council on local government reorganistion in 1974. They relate to a variety of minor improvement schemes, but also to major schemes such as the A505 Inner Relief Road, see Refs: Hi/PL/11/3, 5 and 6. This series is much less comprehensive in its coverage that the equivalent records for Bedford, See Hi/PL/10 series, as many of the plans have problabl6 been retained by Luton Borough Council who after 1974 continued to act as local agents for the HIghway Authority (Bedfordshire County Council)
