Letter from unidentified member of staff [?D Hook/G E Laughton] based at R.A.F. Hednesford in Staffordshire. Letter has been censored, with the signature removed. Wishes Miss Seamark success in her new appointment. Comments on his role training 800 naval trainees, “punishing them for their breaches of a code they know little about”. States that Staffordshire “...is the most desolate place I have been to in England - a marvellous setting for the ’blasted heath’ and there are plenty of locals to provide witches.” [14 Dec 1945].
