    Proposed answer to J. Roloofs van der Werfe, merchant in Amsterdam. "I received thine with the Jews proposition & should be glad it were effected, & I believe all the friends in the nation are of my mind. I have cast up the sume for the 7 persons & soe it comes to about £500 sterling, & if the freinds of London as in perticular those 2 thou writes to doe order thee to enter into contract with him thou need fear noe suffering by it, but thou must be carfull in the wording of thy contract for we have already credits lying at Sally & Macquenesse for their redemption, & they may possibly be set upon Christian shore by meanes therof before his credit & order comes there.
