'Thomas Goodman came before me one of his majisty's justices of the Peace for the County of Bedford and made oath that he was admitted an out pensioner of the Royal Hospital for seamen &c at Greenwich on the 16th day of February 1815 from the Portsmouth Division of Marines thta he served in the marine service fifteen years and five months as per following statement was discharged for being deaf and that he is no otherwise provided for by the public but as a pensioner of the said hospital at Nine pounds per annum and now lives in the parish of ampthill in the County of Bedford.
