    Homage presentments that John Thompson late of Biggleswade, gardener, as in Z 590/28(ii) died 11 Oct 1865 seised according to the custom of the manor of 2 messuages etc. as in Z 590/28(a); that he signed and published his will, dated 29 Nov 1861, and administered to in H.M.’s Court of Probate on 1 Dec 1865 by Martha Thompson, widow of the deceased, the executors appointed by the said will and a codicil thereto having renounced probate thereof, whereby he gave and bequeathed unto Martha Thompson for the term of her natural life: (a) all those 2 cottages and tenements formerly belonging to Charles Oney but which he bought of the executors of the late Charlotte Oney, widow, situate in part of Biggleswade called the Anchor Yard, then in the occupation of Clarke and Head, the said property being copyhold. Admission of MT to (a). Habendum: (a) with appurtenances to Martha Thompson and her assigns for life according to the tenor and effect of the will of John Thompson, deceased, by copy of court roll, fealty, suit of court and the yearly rent of 3d. and other duties, customs, etc. Fine for estate and entry in the premises: not stated.
