    The prioress claims that the abbot should acquit her for services which John Morin exacts from her for a free tenement which she holds from the said abbot in Harewald, i.e. ... 3 virgates of land with appurtenances, except 4 acres in Hariswald by service of a pound of cummin per annum and king’s service However the said John distrained for aid for knighting eldest son and marrying eldest daughter, which aid the abbot ought to have acquitted them of. The abbot agreed to acknowledge the tenement to be the right of the prioress and church of Hariswald, to be held from the abbot and church of Bitlesden for ever, at a rent of a pound of cummin at Christmas and 2/6d scutage Quitclaim by the prioress to the abbot of all damages.
