- Scope and Contentreciting that i) has recovered the two parts of the manor of Stacheden’ by a statute merchant made by ii) to i) AGREEMENT that i) will hold the two parts aforesaid for the next 10 years in order to pay the debts of John Gemys, i.e.10 marks 10s to Robert Mordaunt and wife Joan; 40s to John de Middleton; 40s to John Bozoun; 40s to Robert de Suthewyk the parson of Pertenhale; 10s to Robert le Lord i) undertakes to pay to ii) 11½ marks, and for the sustenance of his children 7 marks in four years, i.e. ½ mark at Hockday, St.Peter ad Vinculum; Michaelmas and Christmas until 7 marks had been paid. Furthermore i) is bound to ii) for 10 marks on condition that if after 10 years ii) is kept out of the moiety of the two parts of the manor of Stacheden by i), then the bond to be enforced.
