Clapham alias Cawldwell closes with the double hedges and houses in Clapham to ib), paying to iii) and Giles, Richard and Dorothy Lawrence, children of iii), £120 within six weeks after death of Agnes the wife of Henry CONVEYANCE (Feoffment) by i) to ii) in consideration of £60 paid by ii) to iii) and to ib) ... property as above to hold to uses, i.e. to use of ii) and heirs until the death of Agnes Lawrence, and then to use of said Nicholas, Gyles, Richard son of Nicholas, and Dorothy, their heirs and assigns, until the sum of £120 be fully paid, i.e.£30 to each child, then to the use of ii) for ever Witnesses: George Francklyn, Robert Lawrence, William Newton, Richard Lunne and Edward Latner the writer, Laurence Paierclowgh, William Wilsonn Signed Edward and Richard Lawrence, witnesses include Jacob Lawrence Endorsed with receipts to William Boteler, for £30 a piece, of Dorothy Larrence for £30 15 Jan 1597; of Henry How and William Larrence for the use of Giles Larrence now beyond the seas, 15 Jan 1597; of William Larrence, Jacob Larrence and Andrew Easton for the use of Nicholas Larrence now beyond the seas !8 Jan 1597 the above being paid at Humfrey Wynche’s mansion house in Bedford; of Richard Larrence, 28 Jan 1597, paid in the chamber of Humfrey Wynche in Lincoln’s Inn
