  • Date free text
    6 October 1877
  • Production date
    From: 1877 To: 1878
  • Scope and Content
They agree that the proposed diversion will make the bridleway more commodious for the following reasons: 1. The existing pathway is impassable during the winter months for mud and water, and takes a tortuous course across miry land, hollow and hilly, whereas the revised pathway will cross dry land on a steady incline 2. The proposed new pathway will afford greater facilities for those coming from Westoning to Flitwick Mill and will considerably shorter their road. 3. Those using the path have made a trespass pathway across "Long Close". 4. The proposed new pathway will be passable throughout the year and will make the road more equidistant for those going to Pulloxhill and those going to Flitwick Mill. Also certified that notices have been affixed at the place, inserted in the Bedfordshire Times and Independent, and posted on the church doors of Higham Gobion and Westoning.
