    Jury Nicholas le Whyte, Henry le Whyte, William Malyn, Geoffery Attewoode, Reginald de Polescroft, Adam le Stolker, Henry le Warde, John le Wilden, Thomas son of Peter, Geoffery le Ros, Robert Mile and William Attehulles, who say it is to the injury of none that the Crown should grant to Simon de Wolston, chaplain, power to give ... 2 messuages, 4 tofts, 50 acres land, 12 acres meadow, and 10s rent in Bromham and Biddenham to a certain chaplain in the chapel of St.Mary of Bidenham Bridge to say divine service on all days for the souls of Geoffery le Smyth and all the faithful departed. The property is held of William Passelewe of Bromham for service of 4d per annum, and foreign service, and is valued at 28s 6d a year They say that the said Simon the chaplain holds from the said William Passelewe and the said William holds 2 messuages, 4 tofts, 30 acres land, 6 acres meadow, and 10s rent with appurtenances from Matilda widow of John Butteturt and that Matilda holds from the king in chief. They say also that William Passelewe out of the aforesaid tenement holds 20s land and 6 acres meadow from Roger de Beauchamp, and Roger from Walter Traylie and Walter from the King in chief as from his manor of Northwele. They say also that there remains to the said Simon beyond his gift 30s 4d of yearly rent with appurtenances from which 20s rent is held from the heir of John Summeri by service of 1d per annum and 13s 4d from William de Tours for the service of a rose each year. They say also that the said rent to Simon is additional to the gift and assignment, and is sufficient for customs and services. .......... Inquisition general Edward I In the village of Bidenham the prior of Newenham holds from the Prebend of St.Paul of Bedford out of the gift of William the Bastard the King, 3½ virgates of land in perpetual alms.. .......... Inspeximus of charter of Henry II which he made to the canons of Bedford that they were free from toll, and to have the liberties of the burgesses of Bedford .......... Inspeximus of charter to the canons of St.Paul of Newenham by King Henry confirming to them all the gifts of Simon de Beauchamp.
