    Roll 57b [on the same sheet as 57a, so no Welyngton heading] Halmoot held there on Tuesday in the Vigil of the Apostles Philip and James in the xvjo [16th] year of the reign of King Edward iiijti [4th] [30th April 1476] William Fesaunt John Yarewey John Wareyn’ John Cole Henry Parker William Flaunders Thomas Flaunders Robert Bawdewyn’ Nicholas Wareyn’ John Odehill William Flaunders John Noreys [heading illegible] Who said that the Holding of Richard Miton, the Holding of John Wareyn’, the Holding of Robert Coke called Felys Prentys, and the holding [sic] of John Noreys and the Holding of William Fesaunt have been ruined in [illegible] timber which is in the roof. Therefore the bailiff was ordered to deliver as much timber as was needed. And the said Tenants should repair the roofs just as they were ordered, before the next court under a penalty for each offence of vjs viijd [6s 8d]. At this Thomas Passewater came to this court and surrendered the Welyngton Watermill into the hand of the Steward, for the use of Henry Parker who was granted seisin by the Lady, through the pledge of the Steward. To have and to hold himself for the term of xl [40] years, rendering xls [40s] therefrom annually to the lady and suit of Court. And the said Henry will sustain and sufficiently repair the Dam and maintain all the Moving Parts pertaining to the said mill, that is to say, the stones for Milling, the Hoops and Spindles and Cogs and Wheels and blades for two wheels, that is to say, the water wheel and cog wheel pertaining. The lady will provide him with large timber and pertinences as needed. And if the same Henry defaults in part or in total on the aforesaid permissions that are now well agreed with the lady or her deputy to be entrusted to him in the aforesaid mill it will be noted and he will be distrained whatever, and full satisfaction.’ At this Court the Lady granted through the Steward to John Lanslyn her several fisheries in Willington with ij [2] holmes [islands] and the Rabbit Warren and the game of the Warren within all demesne of the aforesaid Willington with all of their fisheries, to be held by himself to the end of the term of xl [40] years, rendering therefrom to the Lady xxvjs viijd [26s 8d] a year at the usual terms there and lastly the Lady will provide him with brambles for putting over the rabbit holes and he made fealty etc. In expenses of the Steward iiijs [4s]
