    To be buried in vault of Meeting House, Luton and executors to pay £7 on interment to women appointed in table of directions To cousin, Mathias Throughgood, son of late niece, Elizabeth Thoroughgood, deceased, who was daughter of testator's late brother, Mathias Tompkins, deceased, messuage and appurtenances in which testator dwelt in Castle Street, Luton, but if he dies before reaching 21, then to other children of niece, Elizabeth Thoroughgood, as tenants in common. Executors to take rents until Mathias 21, for clothing and expense of putting him out as apprentice, or, in the case of his death, to the clothing of Edward, Elizabeth and Frances Thoroughgood, brother and sisters of Mathias. Also to Mathias on reaching 21, testator's weather glass To Elizabeth Thoroughgood on reaching 21, best bed and bedding with blue camblett curtains and appointments and bell at bedhead, large looking glass, great copper pan, brass hand irons, fire shovel and tongs, metal pottage pot and couch To sister, Frances Hopkins, one guinea piece of gold, great Bible and all testator's spectacles To friend, Mr Joseph Marshall of Newgate Street, London, bookseller and cousin, Samuel Marsom of Luton, one guinea of gold each To Elizabeth Thoroughgood on reaching 21, £20 To Frances Thoroughgood on reaching 21, £20 To Edward Thoroughgood, £10 to be applied by executors to put him out at apprentice, or, if that is not done, to be given to him on reaching 21 On death of Elizabeth, Frances or Edward before age of 21 legacies to be divided equally among those still living. Legacy money to be put out at interest until needed and interest to be paid towards clothing of legatees. Has already given money to apprentice above legatees brother, Peter Thoroughgood, and therefore does not leave him any more To John Coles of Luton, grocer, £40 To testator's niece, Elizabeth Coles, wife of said John Coles, and daughter of testator's sister, Frances Hopkins, £10 All remainder of personal estate to Elizabeth Thoroughgood on reaching 21, or if she dies before reaching that age, to her sister, Frances. Appoints John Coles and wife, Elizabeth, executors.
