- Scope and ContentRecites: Will of John Everard, son of John Everard, 26 April 1686. Devises to mother Mary Everard messuage in Beeston which is her jointure during life, and after her death to daughter Margaret; to wife Mary her jointure in Beeston and Sandy, and after her death to daughter Margaret; to daughter Mary Higgs, since deceased, a messuage in Stamborne, Essex, and in Broom, Southill, on condition of her resigning her right to those bequeathed to Margaret; if another daughter is born, the lands to be divided between the daughters. John Everard died after birth of another daughter Elizabeth. Mary married Charles Higgs and died below age 21. Chancery suit 4 February 1707. John Noyes and wife Margaret versus John Mordaunt, gentleman, and Elizabeth Everard and Charles Higgs; lands to be divided between the sisters.
