    Roll 50b, Cardington Halmoot of lady Katherine, Duchess of Norfolk, held there on Wednesday the 11th day of May, in the third year of Edward the Fourth. [1463] The homage John Gardyner, Simon Smyth, Thomas Baston [Barton?], Thomas Redyng, John Coby, Thomas Blythe, John Grygman, John Newman, John Horne, William Spencer, sworn men there, present that John Fyll has not cleared his overflowing ditch at West Lane just as he was ordered. Therefore he incurrs the penalty of vjd [6d] from the last court… And he was ordered to put it right in xv [15] days under the [annotated same] penalty. Also they present that (illegible) ditch was on the Kings Road just as he was ordered. And the aforesaid Thomas, [illegible] just as he was ordered at the last view etc. Sum of this Court vjd [6d], therefrom in the expenses of the steward and other tenants being there, iiijd [4d]
