Amercements viijd [8d], vjd [6d] And that Edmund Grey iiijd [4d], the Prior of Newnham iiijd [4d], John Stoughton ijd [2d] owed suit this day and did not come. Therefore they are amerced. And that John Waryner Roper iiijd [4d] assaulted John Skynner with a certain stick and [it is] in profit of no value and therefore he is at mercy. Amercement iiijd [4d] And that the same iiijd [4d] drew blood from the aforesaid John Skynner unlawfully. Therefore he is at mercy. Amercement ijd [2d] And the same ijd [2d] assaulted the same John Waryner, against the peace, with a certain stick valued at jd [1d]. Therefore he was amerced. Amercement ijd [2d] And that Thomas Myller ijd [2d] made an assault against the peace on Thomas Whyte with his fist. Therefore he was amerced. Amercement ijd [2d] And that John Clerk ijd [2d] the younger made an assault against the peace on Nicholas Waryner with his fist. Therefore he is amerced. Tasters amercements xd [10d], vjd [6d] John Yarwey the elder, John Gostwyk, John Redy tasters of ale present that John Stoughton vjd [6d] brewed constantly and broke the assize of ale, Emma Skynner iiijd [4d] constantly, John Tylere ijd [2d] once, Robert Taylour ijd [2d], Thomas Myller ijd [2d] once. Penalty incurred xxd [20d] And that John Stoughton has incurred the penalty of xld [40d] following ancient custom for brewing one day at the time of a service [annotated, at the church]. Amercement vjd [6d] And they present that John Gostewyke ijd [2d] has one ditch not draining causing nuisance to all the tenants. Therefore he is amerced. And that Thomas Maryon ijd [2d] has one ditch not draining next to his holding, causing nuisance. Therefore he is amerced. And that Thomas Myller ijd [2d] has depastured with his horses in the lord’s pasture in the Bury which William Launcelyn held. Therefore he is amerced. And that the tenements called Trycat’ and Wyltschyre, which William Launcelyn held to repair, have not been sufficiently repaired. And the aforesaid William, present in Court, petitioned for a day until the next feast of Saint Michael to do the repairs. And that the malt-kiln belonging to Robert Rydere which the aforesaid William held to repair is not sufficiently repaired and he petitioned for a day until the next to do the repairs. And that the holding lately belonging to the Fesaunts is in the hand of the lord and is ruined and needs repairs. And that the tenement lately in the holding of Agnes Partrych is in the hand of the lord, is ruined. And that the tenement called the Legge in the holding of William Launcelyn was ruined and needed repair and putting right. And that the holdings lately belonging to the weaver, the Fysshers and the acremen were ruined and in the hand of the lord, because of needing repairs. And that John the Warrenner has many defective repairs in his holding. And he was ordered to put them right before the next under a penalty of half a mark [6s 8d]. And that John Crews has thatched the barn well, but has not covered it with earth . Therefore he is ordered to put it right before the next feast of Saint Martin [10th November] under a penalty of xld [40d]. Surrender heriot valued at viijs [8s] John Rodland came to this Court and surrendered one tenement and x [10] acres of land and meadow, for which he rendered and paid xiiijs [14s] a year, into the hand of the lord against the feast of St. Michael the archangel next in the future. And a new heriot of one horse valued at viijs [8s] fell due to the lord, in respect thereof [there were] pledges by John Cook and John Gostwyk. And it was found by all the homage that the aforesaid tenement was repaired at some time and they asked for a day until the Hall moot to make better inquiries. Also they present that Emma Skynner held a common brothel. Therefore the bailiff was ordered to put her outside the demesne.
