    Manor of Clophill with Cainhoe. Admission of William Smith of Barton, clerk, and Edward Horn of Clophill, gentleman, in trust for the marriage of Frances Goodman and Isaac Coote, on Surrender of said Frances Goodman. A messuage in Clophill with appurtenances, formerly in the occupation of John Carter, gentleman, afterwards of Samuel Carter, then of William Powers, butcher, late of Matthew Goodman, and now of Frances Goodman, between the demesne lands of Manor of Beadlow on east, and a cottage formerly of Humphrey Barns and afterwards of Samuel Carter and devised by him to son Edward Carter on west, abutting north on the street there, and south on the river, holden at yearly rent of 2s 4d; and also land in Open Fields [as described in BS 343].
