- TitleFrancis Okely, Bedford, to Mr James Hutton, at the Reverend Mr. Gambold's in Nevil's Court, Fetterlane, London 11 December 1763. With copy of letter from Bishop of Lincoln to Okely, from London, 10 December 1763
- Date free text10, 11 December 1763
- Production dateFrom: 1763 To: 1763
- Scope and ContentHe had laid Okely's case before a good number of bishops assembled for a monthly meeting for Queen Anne's Bounty, and they were of the opinion, that he should not ordain Okely a priest. There will be a further meeting with more present later. Is disposed to think well of Okely. Okely to Hutton says it is as friendly a letter as could be expected. Would have liked to show weakness in Archbishop's objections of Brethren's ordinations."
