    Parties (i) King Charles I; (ii) Thomas, earl of Cleveland of Toddington (Beds); Dame Anne Gostwicke of Willington, widow, mother of Sir Edward Gostewicke his majesty’s ward; Thomas Bainebridge of Cambridge, DD; George Keinsham of Tempsford; William Ashwell of the parish of St Nicholas Acons, London, merchant; William Farrar of Bedford; Francis Read of Willington Operative part: - fine of 40s to be paid to the Receiver General of the Court of Wards and Liveries by (ii) - (i) demises (a) – (d) to the use of all the children of Sir Edward Gostwicke, deceased Property: (a) third part of the manor or grange of Putnoe (b) third part of the manors of Willington, Cople, Goldington and Ravensden, rectories of Willington and Ravensden and advowson of vicarages or churches of Willington and Ravensden (c) third part of 25 messuages, 10 cottages, 700 acres of land, 60 acres of meadow, 100 acres of pasture, 50 acres of wood and 40s rent rent in Willington, Cople, Ravensden, Renhold, Goldington, Clapham, Thurleigh and Putnoe, value £49 p.a. (d) third part of moiety of the Barony of Bedford (e) third part of common of pasture of Beeston Leazow in Northill, value 20s p.a. - amounting to total yearly value of £50 Habendum - to be held by (ii) from 20 September 1630 (on which day Sir Edward Gostwicke died) throughout the minority of Sir Edward Gostwicke - (ii) to pay £49 16s p.a to the Receiver General of the Court of Wards and Liveries - remaining 4s p.a. allowed to the auditor’s clerk for engrossing accounts - (ii) to make repairs as required at their own cost and to pay all amounts due to the Exchequer during the minority Covenants: - should yearly value prove to be higher than £49 16s then (ii) to pay the higher amount to the Receiver General - court rolls to be kept by (ii) - (ii) not to encroach upon the property - (ii) to provide for legal defence of property as necessary - other provisions for protection of property Endorsement - enrolled in the presence of the auditor at the Court of Wards and Liveries, Easter 1632
